Essential Oils Black Pepper Piper nigrum Family Piperaceae

Native to south west India, the perennial climbing plant of Black Pepper reaches a height of approx. 5m. It has small white flowers followed by red berries which turn black when maturity is reached.

Essential Oils Extraction: steam distillation of the dried fruit (peppercorns)
Colour: colourless to pale green
Aroma: Warm, hot, spicy

Essential Oils Possible Uses: Muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, nausea, colds and flu. Mental fatigue.apathy,confusion. Analgesic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antimicrobial, bactericidal,digestive, rubefacient, tonic and stimulant.

Blends: lemon, bergamot, lavender, frankincense, jasmine, geranium, rose, sandalwood, ylang ylang

Caution: Avoid during pregnancy. Use in lowest concentration as it is possible to produce irritation. Not to be used undiluted in baths. Generally non toxic, non sensitising.
